Meet Dr. Lavender Mehat

Dr. Lavender Mehat was born and (mostly) raised in San Antonio, Texas, although she did spend 4 years attending a boarding school in Punjab, India. Dr. Mehat received her Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Arts degrees from St. Mary’s University and then earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Texas Health San Antonio. After this, she completed a general practice residency at The Cleveland Clinic where she was able to hone her skills and deepen her knowledge in advanced dental care. While she thoroughly enjoyed her time, and many buckeyes in Ohio, she decided to move to North Carolina in search of some sun. This has led her to Emerald Family Dentistry.

Dr. Mehat is thrilled to be a part of the warm and cheerful team at EFD. She believes in the importance of patient-centered care and is committed to creating a collaborative environment with her patients so that they can play an active role in their healthcare. She values each patient’s unique story and welcomes everyone to share their concerns and goals with her so that she can better understand their vision and provide personalized care. Dr. Mehat is so excited to be at Emerald Family Dentistry and work alongside providers who are also committed to providing exceptional patient care in a fun and welcoming environment.

Outside of the office, Dr. Mehat enjoys hiking, reading, and savoring a good cup of coffee. She is also an avid dog lover and welcomes all dog pictures and coffee shop recommendations. She is looking forward to discovering new trails in North Carolina and feels fortunate to see the next chapter of life unfold here.
